About BSCC
Protect the world's least known and endangered bears
The Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC) is a dedicated organization based in Sepilok, Borneo, dedicated to the conservation of the endangered Bornean sun bear. The center provides a safe haven for sun bears rescued from captivity, aiming to rehabilitate them and return them to their natural habitat. They conduct scientific research to learn more about these fascinating animals and their behavior. They are also committed to raising public awareness of the importance of conservation through educational programs.
The honey bears of nwc
Dodop, Cerah, Bintang and BJ
Malayan bears, also known as honey bears, are the smallest and second rarest bears in the world. Capture and protection of honey bears is desperately needed. Their natural habitat - tropical rainforest - is being rapidly cleared. Honey bears are poached and their body parts
disappear on the black market in the traditional medicine trade. Cubs left behind after their mothers are killed enter the exotic pet trade. Many of them grow up without ever going outside again....
With your help, NWC Foundation was able to adopt four of these honey bears for a year. Meet Dodop (v), Cerah (v), Bintang (v) & BJ (m). With your help, they will receive food, vitamins, medical care and all the necessary check-ups!
