Our Projects
Tikki Hywood Foundation
To get pangolins to safety, they sometimes need to be transported. To a care center or a new protected habitat. The No Wildlife Crime Foundation donated 10 crates for the Pangolins in Cameroon.
About the Tikki Hywood Foundation
Saving pangolins
The Tikki Hywood Foundation in Cameroon is a pioneering conservation organization dedicated to protecting the critically endangered pangolin. Located in the Mefou National Park, about 50 km from Yaoundé, this rehabilitation center is the first of its kind in Central and West Africa.
The Tikki Hywood Foundation focuses on the rescue, rehabilitation and release of pangolins rescued from the illegal trade and bushmeat markets. In partnership with the Cameroon Ministry of Forestry and Fauna (MINFOF) and the Office of the President, they conduct national and international awareness campaigns to combat the trade in these animals.

Activities and Initiatives
- Rescue and Rehabilitation: The center captures rescued pangolins, cares for them and prepares them for their return to the wild.
- Awareness campaigns: We organize educational programs and work with local communities to raise awareness about the importance of protecting pangolins.
- Anti-poaching: Active patrols and training programs for anti-poaching units to combat illegal trade and provide first aid to rescued animals.
Since its inception, the Tikki Hywood Foundation has rescued and released countless pangolins back into protected areas. Thanks to our efforts and the support of donors and sponsors like No Wildlife Crime Foundation, they can continue to help protect the world's most smuggled mammal.
