Horned dinosaur
Naturalis has excavated as many as six Triceratops skeletons in the past 11 years. Naturalis researchers and preparators, along with paleontology students and a team of volunteers, uncovered more than 1,200 bone/bone fragments over six field seasons in Wyoming, USA.
Five of the six skeletons were found together. Research indicates that this is a herd. The sixth individual, which was already on display at Naturalis (Dino time room), did not belong to this herd.
An extraordinary discovery! In fact, only a few skeletons can be seen around the world, but at Naturalis no less than five together! The herd can be admired at Naturalis until August 31, 2025. Discover now via the button below!
