Cape fur seals
Some animals you can smell even before you see them! I noticed this when I visited a huge group of Cape fur seals in Namibia. Getsie! What a smell. Next time I kayak here, I'll bring a clothespin!
All together
Cape fur seals live together in large colonies. And when I say big, I mean really big! Sometimes up to 200,000 of those big fat sea bears live together! HolyMoly! What a crowd on the beach. I grab my kayak and quietly paddle toward the colony. To my left and right, curious fur seals poke their heads out of the water. Fat cute!

Water rats
On land, Cape fur seals are quite bulky and ungainly. But in the water, they look like Olympic swimmers. That's how nimble and fast they are! In addition, they can also dive incredibly deep. As much as four hundred meters! I don't imitate them. What torpedoes. They clearly feel at home in the ocean. Like a fish in the water!
