The Fight Against Wildlife Crime
The Foundation supports the Eagle Network team, which is dedicated to protecting endangered species by combating the illegal wildlife trade. It is an international network that works with governments to track down, arrest, and bring wildlife criminals to justice. The network has already secured convictions against major wildlife traffickers and plays a key role in the fight against poaching, illegal trade, and corruption.

Investigation, Enforcement, and the Judiciary
The EAGLE Network works in various African countries to strengthen the enforcement of wildlife laws. The organization not only focuses on tracking down wildlife criminals, but also oversees the entire process from arrest to trial and imprisonment. Through undercover investigations, collaboration with law enforcement agencies, legal follow-up, and public awareness campaigns, EAGLE ensures that wildlife crime is effectively addressed. Combating corruption plays a central role in this effort, as it is often a major cause of the failure of nature conservation in Central Africa.

Major Programs and Initiatives
Investigation and Intelligence: Undercover investigators and informants gather evidence against major wildlife traffickers and infiltrate criminal networks to expose illegal trade.
Arrest operations: Together with national authorities, they support targeted arrest operations against traffickers of ivory, pangolins, big cats, great apes, and other endangered species
Legal Follow-up: A specialized legal team monitors cases from the time of arrest through the trial and ensures that any sentences imposed are actually carried out
Combating Corruption: They monitor the entire law enforcement process to combat corruption within law enforcement and the judiciary
Awareness and public engagement: Through the media, publicity, and collaboration with government agencies and civil society organizations, they raise awareness of wildlife crime
International cooperation: The network collaborates with governments, conservation organizations, and civil society partners in multiple countries to effectively combat cross-border wildlife crime
