PRIVACY STATEMENT
Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to the processing of personal data of all our users in relation to No Wildlife Crime Foundation (NWC) services. This Privacy Policy describes how this data is processed and for what purposes. In addition, this Privacy Policy contains information about our cookie policy. By using NWC's services or making a donation to NWC and agreeing to this Privacy Policy, the User agrees to the following terms and conditions applicable thereto.
Providing personal data is not mandatory
At all times, a user has the choice whether to provide his/her personal data. However, in order to become a donor of NWC, it is necessary to provide your personal data to NWC. If the input of your data is requested, NWC indicates which data are "necessary" to use the products and/or services and which data can be provided "optionally.
Processing of personal data
By becoming a donor of NWC, it processes the personal data of its users. These include the name, address details, bank details, e-mail address and telephone number. The processing of personal data takes place in the following cases:
- for the formation and execution of a (collection) agreement concluded with the donor;
- When payment is not made for our products and/or services, we may turn the claim over to third parties, such as a collection agency;
In the aforementioned cases, the name, address, bank details, email address and phone number are necessary for the execution of the agreement.
- to send the User newsletters, offers, user information, service messages or one or more electronic messages that might be of interest to the User, when the User has indicated his or her consent;
- in order to make an offer to the User or for other promotional purposes, for example via e-mail if the User has indicated to agree to this. NWC cooperates with Studio Freek Fans B.V. for this purpose.
In the aforementioned cases, the personal data, namely the e-mail address, date of birth and gender, are provided optionally, for which the User gives explicit consent.
- To administer, analyze, maintain, optimize and secure our products and/or services and to prevent misuse and/or fraud of products and/or services;
- To determine strategic analysis and reporting of our products and/or services; and/or
- if a User visits one of our (mobile) websites, our servers may also (automatically) store information such as URLs, IP addresses, browser types, languages, dates and times of visits to our (mobile) websites and/or apps.
In the aforementioned cases, NWC has a legitimate interest in processing the personal data in question.
The personal data provided are processed by NWC solely for the purpose of carrying out its services and in particular for the explicit purpose for which these personal data were collected.
Personal data will only be kept for the period necessary for the proper execution of the aforementioned purposes. In case longer legal retention periods apply, the retention periods as prescribed by law will apply.
Users' rights
All our users have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection regarding the processing of his/her personal data.

Passing on third parties
Except as provided below, only those persons authorized by NWC to secure and/or otherwise process personal data and/or perform IT maintenance work have access to Users' personal data.
We have engaged a processor with whom we have entered into an agreement for the processing purposes listed in this Privacy Statement, so that the processor provides adequate safeguards with respect to technical and organizational security measures.
In the unlikely event that you discover a data breach, it is very important that we know about it immediately. You can report data breaches directly at: info@nowildlifecrime.nl. Your report and details will be treated confidentially at all times.
Otherwise, NWC will not disclose its Users' personal information to third parties unless necessary for the performance of its Services pursuant to a legal requirement or in an emergency to the extent that, in NWC's reasonable judgment, it is in the best interest of its Users. This includes lawful requests to do so by authorities, subpoenas or court orders, actions to detect or prevent damage or fraud, or actions to ensure the security of our network and our Products and/or Services.
Security
NWC has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure Users' personal data against loss or unlawful processing, including storage of that data in a secure database with two-step verification.
